Paul Inouye, a San Francisco native, was raised in San Carlos alongside his two brothers. His academic journey took him from Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose to UC Berkeley, where he pursued undergraduate studies, and eventually to The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned an MBA. This solid educational foundation helped shape his career in finance, equipping him with the skills necessary to excel in the demanding world of West Coast technology banking. His strong work ethic, combined with his dedication to personal growth, has played a crucial role in his professional achievements.

Paul has a broad range of interests that reflect his passion for both physical activity and intellectual pursuits. A devoted athlete, he is dedicated to cycling, running, swimming, and CrossFit, maintaining a high level of fitness throughout the year. Beyond his love for fitness, he enjoys traveling and skiing, immersing himself in different cultures, and embracing the excitement of adventure. His leisure time is also filled with music and movies from the 80s, electronic dance music, and a deep interest in military history and fantasy football. His athletic pursuits extend beyond his daily routine; he has competed in high school and college rugby and participated in endurance events such as The Vineman Ironman, Vineman Half Ironman, Hawaiian Half Ironman, and marathons across renowned locations like San Francisco, Avenue of the Giants, and New York City. These diverse interests reveal a person who thrives on challenge, resilience, and pushing boundaries.

With more than 30 years in technology banking, Inouye has built a career defined by expertise in mergers and acquisitions within the software and internet technology sectors. His in-depth knowledge of strategic and financial buyer dynamics, coupled with his finely honed negotiating skills, has allowed him to guide clients through complex M&A transactions. His career path has included prominent roles at top-tier firms, such as Robertson Stephens, Morgan Stanley, Piper Jaffray, Lehman Brothers, Perella Weinberg, and Moelis & Company. This extensive experience has provided him with the insights necessary to assist business owners in achieving their strategic objectives, and he takes pride in his ability to help clients reach successful outcomes. In addition to his professional commitments, he values his role as a father to two children, balancing career and family with equal dedication.
